Update on 30 October @ 14:00
The Government confirmed an increase in their autumn budget:
- Increase on tobacco products based on the escalator, currently the RPI of 2.7% + 2% = 4.7%
- Duty increase of 10% on hand rolling tobaccos
- An UNCONFIRMED one-off increase on tobacco products
The Government, as usual, haven't been completely clear on how this may affect Cigarettes, Cigars and Pipe Tobaccos - but we do know they're already subject to the escalator.
