10g Sample | Chieftain | Stormy Skye Pipe Tobacco
Stormy Skye is a blend of Virginia and Burley, with a speckling of Black Cavendish. Its an aromatic but is reservedly British, nothing brash about it, with subtle tropical fruits and hickory nut. What makes this blend truly remarkable is that its been aged in whisky barrels and has taken on hints of the liquor. Malty and woody wisps of the distilled drink play merry with the leaf. The tobacco adopts its position in the pipe without protest and takes the flame well, hardly requiring a reminder to stay alight. Smoke is eager to tell the palate its story, it hints at whisky, nuttiness and earthiness, tales of mild sweetness and perhaps a little peat.
