Century Commonwealth 1776 plug is named after the Constitution of the United States, signed in 1776. A lightly pressed plug combining Old Belt red Virginia and flue-cured Brazilian leaf.
The term "Old Belt" is a phrase that refers to Virginias grown in Virginia and North Carolina, where you will find some of the oldest tobacco houses. The Virginia Old Belt reds are grassy with zesty citrus and tangy stewed dark fruit notes. The flue-cured Brazilian leaf adds richness and depth; it reinforces the creamy base that provides the foundation this blend is built upon.
Commonwealth 1776 burns superbly. It doesn't require many re-lights; the occasional tamper down is adequate. Quite simply, a unique masterpiece and highly recommended.
