Clan is a complex pipe tobacco that goes way back and today is produced by Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Chances are you sawit in the supermarket in the days before they put those awkward screens up and introduced plain packaging. 2016, was it really that long ago?! Your father, or uncle (if they smoked a pipe) probably smoked this on more than one occasion. It brings the nostalgic and generic room note of what a real pipe smells like. Its slightly sweet, but has a flavour thats difficult to pin down. There are no less than 14 different tobaccos in it, which provide entertainment as you almost identify a flavour which then fades and is replaced by another. If you manage to decipher a flavour or two its probably Virginia, which seems to make up a high proportion, or maybe its Kentuckys smoky spice, though be aware theres Latakia here too. Theres Orientals buttery, floral and earthy flavour to be found too and the list goes on. Its enjoyable; its one of the most popular pipe tobaccos around!
