The first in what's hoped to be a line of unusual flavour profile cigars, the Macanudo Emissary Espana robusto is an amazing 5 nation blend that begins with a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf Claro wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Spain, The Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Colombia.
The Spanish tobacco is grown in the west of Spain near the town of Riolobos, the leaves are thick and oily to cope with the warm days and mild nights, this imparts a noticeable accent picked up when you smoke the cigar.
The Macanudo Emissary Espana is a medium bodied cigar producing notes of nuts,roasted coffee beans along with leather and oak.
A cigar that has to be smoked to appreciate the European emphasis and influence.
