The Savinelli Monsieur Smooth is up there with the best in Italian pipe making. Classic shapes beautifully crafted with care and passion. The ash cap is ideal for keeping a half-smoked bowl safe in your pocket without fear of spilling the contents.

The Savinelli Monsieur Smooth Briar Pipes uses a unique 6mm filter system. In the shank/stem a bore of 6mm is drilled, in which a triangular piece of balsa wood is placed.
This lightweight piece of wood (extremely porous) absorbs tar and nicotine from the smoke. Savinelli also include a 6mm active charcoal filter and a plastic converter if you wish to enjoy your pipe without a filter.

History...
Achille Savinelli Sr. opened one of the first shops in the world selling exclusively smoking accessories and briar pipes in 1876. It wasn't until 1920 the first Savinelli briar pipes were branded and produced in the Varese province.
